Head of Governmental Affairs, PMI Europe

As Head of Governmental Affairs, Christian Pierotti's responsibilities include developing PMI Europe's regulatory affairs strategy and directing all governmental lobbying efforts at the European Union and national levels. Pierotti is also responsible for development of national capital relief policies and expansion of covered bond loan eligibility.

Pierotti came to PMI Europe from Comitè Europèen des Assurances (CEA), the insurance industry's EU-level trade body. He undertook lobbying in both Europe and the United States, including the European Commission, Council and Parliament and at an international level at the International Association of Insurance Supervisors and World Trade Organization.

Pierotti holds degrees in economics with a Master's in European and International management from Panthèon La Sorbonne in France. He also holds a management degree from the University of Wuppertal in Germany and speaks English, German, French, and Spanish.
